form of wander

PIER - TAMPA, FLORIDA (2017)

Form of Wander is designed for a public site with a lot of foot traffic. Triggering visual reference to tall forest trees, the piece effectively acts as them too -- providing shade and ambiance to those beneath and within. It mimics the effect of looking up a canopy of trees to see a speckled moire of light among its leaves. The coloration of the piece too is referenced from nature, but taken through a filter of abstraction, achieving a contemporary effect when pushed to the point of artificiality.
