A tree house — the client asked us for the design and build of a “tree house” alike onto a plateform standing within the canopy of a large banyan tree. Rather then a large object the project is investigating a compound canopy - made of collaborative modules – each module being of smaller size and therefore easier to assemble (using lighter lift equipment) but also to insert within the intricacy and incertitude of the tree – it makes the resultant collaborative whole structurally stronger and therefore to able to better resist to the strong Miami winds.
The skin is following a similar principle: Sushi Samba brand is based on colors/tones variation - and therefore the canopies are described through collaborative “agents” model – each materialyzed as a colourful aluminum stripes – all together creating non linear rainbows of colours…
